The COQ series, whose name comes from the French word for "rooster," was created in 1966.
It was designed to be a thick, durable, and aesthetically pleasing everyday stoneware series, suitable for true everyday use,
in response to the daily needs of Swedish households in the 1960s.

Designer Stig Lindberg presented his most iconic clean lines with a dark brown glaze.

The distinctive rooster mark on the base makes this symbol the most recognizable visual language of the series.

When held, one can feel the exquisite thickness of the old glaze,

with a gentle, warm texture that has been slowly polished by time.

This tactile sensation is difficult for new objects to replicate.
