This vintage ceramic tray was created by Svea Granlund, a decorator and designer for Arabia.
The deep blue flowers seem to slowly unfurl on the tray, beautiful even when simply placed.

Svea Granlund (1913–1996) was one of Arabia's most important hand-painting artists during the workshop era,
active from the 1940s to the 1970s. She was known for her steady and delicate brushstrokes and natural shades of deep blue and green. She excelled at creating a quiet, serene, Nordic-inspired style of plate decoration using simple geometric and floral motifs.
Granlund's works are mostly hand-painted, with each stroke carrying the unique rhythm and breath of the workshop era, making them often regarded by collectors as the representative language of Arabia's hand-painted period.

With the closure of the hand-painting workshop after the 70s, all her works were discontinued. Therefore, each piece is a vintage collectible and can only be circulated on the second-hand market and among collectors.
