#011|Fridhemsplan, an unexpected moment

It was my first time at Fridhemsplan today, and as I went down the escalator, a mosaic tile mural immediately caught my eye.
I originally just wanted to quickly exit the station, but the colors, shapes, and the statue in the glass cabinet captivated me.

After doing some research, I learned that this work is a public art piece titled "Hyllning till Carl von Linné," created by Portuguese artist Dimas Macedo in 1997.

It pays homage to the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus with Portuguese tiles and terracotta sculptures, bringing the color language of azulejos and a childlike natural imagery into the subway station.

A gift from Lisbon to Stockholm,
Linnaeus' way of organizing nature,
I love those small, unexpected corners in the city that make you stop and look~ ❤️

These little discoveries I've made recently while taking the subway make me feel like I'm getting to know this city all over again~
